In what only can be described as a wrestling clinic, Daniel Bryan retained the WWE Championship against AJ Styles at WWE TLC. Bryan promised to flip the WWE under his imprint as “The New” Daniel Bryan and the only way he could do that is by defeating “The Phenomenal One.” In a 25-minute battle, Bryan would reverse Styles’ small package into one of his own, pinning the challenger and defeating Styles outright.
In the weeks leading to the match, Bryan would shed away at his “Yes! Movement” persona, instead of becoming more cunning and self-righteous in his pursuit for a better society. In the midst of that, he still strives to be the best wrestler in the world and his desire to compete pushed him to have this title rematch with Styles.
