Former Canadian Football League star Marco Iannuzzi is setting his sights on professional wrestling. The Grey Cup winner was a wide receiver for the BC Lions until he retired following the 2018 season. On his Facebook page, he wrote “Joining the WWE in 2019, what should my [pro wrestling] name be?”

When asked if the post was a joke or not, Iannuzzi reiterated that it was. Although he didn’t clarify if he just meant that he was pursuing a professional wrestling career or if he had actually signed with WWE. In later responses to fans asking if he was serious about pursuing wrestling, Iannuzzi said ‘yes’.
He certainly has the build for a professional wrestler as he stands 6’1″ and weighed nearly 200 pounds during his wide receiver days.
