Pro Wrestling Tees Owner Comments Reported CM Punk Shirt Copyright Violation Filing

A reported copyright violation filed by Pro Wrestling Tees regarding a CM Punk shirt led to speculation that he was somehow tied to All Elite Wrestling due to the promotion also being listed on the document.

After this notation was made public by the person who the claim was filed against, Pro Wrestling Tees owner Ryan Barkan posted the following online, saying the claim is not unique, as it is one of many filed against bootlegged merchandise:

In regards to All Elite Wrestling being mentioned alongside Pro Wrestling Tees, it appears to be a case of the parent company filing multiple claims at once, and not a sign of anything else. Pro Wrestling Tees has a merchandise agreement with All Elite Wrestling (and dozens of other wrestlers and promotions). If the apparel company is acting on behalf of any of their clients for potential violations, it would make sense that multiple names came back in the subject since they were filed together, and does not mean they are otherwise related.

It should be noted that the claim was filed against a design (by the person who posted the screenshot of original copyright violation notice) being sold on Redbubble, and neither party holds the rights to sell the copyrighted merchandise.
