A Brian Pillman retrospective panel is set to be one of the events that will take place at Starrcast II in Las Vegas this May.
Event organizer Conrad Thompson revealed the news during his interview with Wrestlezone’s Kevin Kellam yesterday. Thompson talked about bringing a unique lineup to Starrcast and adding things that people would really want to see, and revealed the Pillman event will be part of this year’s lineup:
“You know what, I’m going to give you a spoiler. Why not just go ahead and reveal one now? You know we’ve talked about a legend who is no longer with us in Andy Kaufman, and how ‘off the beaten path’ he was. What if this time we did a panel on someone who was ‘crazy like a fox?’ What if we remembered Brian Pillman with a panel of his friends and family members who knew him well, and really had a chance to celebrate his life and legacy and what could have been.”
Starrcast is already set to feature Sting, Bret Hart and Sean Mooney as special guests at the event. Starrcast II takes place in conjunction with All Elite Wrestling’s Double Or Nothing. AEW will also host a ticket announcement party for Double Or Nothing tomorrow night at the Splash Pool at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Check out our full interview with Thompson below:
