Lana Opens Up About Severe Learning Disabilities, How An Episode Dedicated To Them Was Cut From Total Divas

WWE Superstars Lana and Rusev were this week’s guests on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia. As previously reported here on WrestleZone, the duo revealed that they were unceremoniously removed from the cast of E!‘s Total Divas after recent demographics found the couple ‘unlikable.’

Lana also revealed that she has been struggling with severe learning disabilities. Her struggles were slated to be featured in the season finale of the E! reality series; however, the episode never made it off the cutting room floor.

According to Lana, “I have a severe learning disability. They ended up cutting that story. It was supposed to be in the season finale and because of Jim [Neidhart] passing away – and 100% Jim’s story needs to be on, that takes over everything – but they should have cut other stories, maybe other stories about him [Rusev] being a clown, and him wanting a child.”

Lana elaborated on the severity of her condition, “I basically couldn’t read until I was 10. I’m dyslexic. I have a lot of learning disabilities. I got tested on Total Divas and I am on 1%. He [Rusev] was up on 90%. I was on 1%. I was shocked by how intense my learning disabilities are and I know that because I learn slower. I process slower.”
