Matt Riddle On Brock Lesnar: “I Don’t Like The Respect That He Shows”; Says He’s The Only Person That Can Retire Brock

Matt Riddle says he’s had a goal since he started wrestling, and he is the guy that will end Brock Lesnar’s career.

Riddle sat down with Jeremy Borash for a taped interview that aired on NXT, talking about his tenure in NXT and  being himself instead of something fake. When the subject of Lesnar came up, Borash brought up Riddle being very open on social media about wanting to retire the current WWE Universal Champion. Riddle said he doesn’t agree with how Lesnar carries himself, and he’s going to be the one to take Lesnar out of wrestling:

“Retiring Brock, that’s no secret. That’s been the goal since I started wrestling since the very beginning. I like to set goals that seem impossible. Only one person can retire Brock Lesnar, only one person can end his career, and that person is going to be me.

I don’t like how he does it, I don’t like the respect that he shows, and I don’t like the work rate that he puts out. That’s just my personal opinion; I think he’s capable of more. Maybe it doesn’t work out for him, maybe it doesn’t work out the first time, but I guarantee you, I’m going to beat him, and I’m going to retire him.”

Riddle also talked about his goal of changing NXT and more; check out the full clip below:
