Stephanie McMahon On A Possible Second All-Women’s PPV, Women Main Eventing Wrestlemania 35

WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon is in Abu Dhabi for the start of the Special Olympics World Games, and took part in a short interview with The National.

McMahon was asked about the real possibility that Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair could main event Wrestlemania this year, and she remained hopeful that this milestone could be the ‘first of many’:

“It would mean more to me than I could describe for our women to be the main event at WrestleMania. Charlotte, Ronda and Becky could do it this year. There is so much momentum behind the story. They are so incredibly talented. I know they would deliver. But what I will say is that I hope it is the first of many.”

Additionally, McMahon was asked about the likelihood that we might see a second all-women’s pay-per-view, following the success of last year’s Evolution event. McMahon didn’t confirm plans for a second, but mentioned how well it did on social media going up against two major events on the same night:

“We haven’t announced any plans yet for Evolution but we have a lot of things in the works right now. One thing that is important to note with Evolution that it was our first ever all-women’s streaming special pay per view is that it trended No 1 world wide for two and a half hours during the last game of the World Series and during NFL Sunday Night Football. Both huge audiences in the United States but it was WWE Evolution that was trending No 1.”

It had previously been reported by Fightful that WWE might be pushing for a women’s match on their May event in Saudi Arabia.
