Rich Bocchini recaps Reed’s conflict with MLW officials in recent weeks. Hart and Reed match each other at every turn until the champion plants the challenger with a powerslam. A powerbomb-lungblower combination nearly breaks Reed in half. Hart’s ribs are still hurt. so he slows his own momentum. Reed targets the injured ribs with a number of stiff kicks. The challenger lands a frog splash for a near fall. A hurricanrana off the top rope isn’t enough to put Hart away. Reed argues with the referee and gives Hart time to recover. The champion rolls up Reed, who’s still jawing with the ref, for the win.
