Gargano sends Cole to the outside. Cole avoids Gargano’s apron superkick. Gargano hits a baseball slide. Enziguri by Cole. Cole knees Gargano in the face. Chin lock by Cole. Gargano gets to his feet but eats an elbow by Cole. Gargano and Cole both attempt crossbody blocks. Overhead throw by Gargano. Roll through kick by Gargano. Slingshot spear by Gargano. Cole kicks out. Torndao flatliner by Gargano. Cole kicks out. Hangman’s lung blower by Cole. Gargano kicks out. Cole and Gargano trade small packages. Gargano tries another roll through kick but Cole avoids it and hits a jumping enziguri. Both men try basement dropkicks. Neither connects. Gargano tries a sunset flip. Cole rolls through and hits the Last Shot for the first pinfall of the match.

German suplex by Cole. Cole hits the Last Shot again! Gargano somehow kicks out. Gargano spears Cole off the apron. Gargano crushes Cole with a running senton off the apron. Gargano sets up the slingshot DDT. Cole reverses it into the Ushigorshi. Gargano kicks out at two. Cole tries to powerbomb Gargano off the top. Gargano turns it into an avalanche air raid crash. Cole kicks out at 2.5. Gargano slingshot DDTs Cole on the apron! Cole is about to be counted out but Gargano breaks the count. Cole sends Gargano into the ring post twice. Gargano puts Cole in the modified rings of Saturn. Cole struggles to escape. Gargano transitions into the Gargano Escape. Cole taps out immediately.

Cole and Gargano trade strikes. Cole hits a neck breaker for a near fall. Cole goes up top. Gargano kicks Cole, then lawn darts him into the middle turnbuckle. Gargano blast Cole with a full nelson flatliner. Another strike exchange leads to a double big boot. Cole and Gargano are down. Cole superkicks Gargano in the back of the head. Straight Jacket suplex by Cole. Gargano kicks out! Backdrop driver by Cole. Gargano responds with a reverse ranna. Superkick by Cole. Cole rolls out of the ring so Gargano can’t pin him. Cole pulls Gargano out of the ring and wheelbarrow suplexes him on the ring apron. Gargano hits a hangman’s DDT, followed by a slingshot DDT. Cole kicks out. Gargano tries another slingshot spear but Cole kicks Gargano right in the face. Cole hits the Panama Sunrise! Gargano kicks out! Cole bad mouths Gargano. Gargano levels Cole with an elbow to the head.
