The Undertaker made his WWE TV return this week, and it’s now being said he had a ‘short list’ of potential opponents he’d like to work with, with Drew McIntyre being one of them.
According to Sports Illustrated‘s Justin Barrasso, McIntyre was one of a small group of opponents Undertaker requested working with upon his WWE return. It was originally rumored that WWE brought back Undertaker as ratings boost, but it now seems to indicate Taker’s return was planned in advance.
Undertaker is set for his first match since facing Goldberg in the main event at WWE Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia when he teams with Roman Reigns against McIntyre and Shane McMahon at WWE Extreme Rules on July 14.
