Pro Wrestling NOAH

Pro Wrestling NOAH Acquired By DDT Pro Parent Company

Two of Japan’s more notable wrestling organizations are merging, although not in front of the camera. Pro Wrestling NOAH has been acquired fully by CyberAgent, a company that also operates DDT Pro-Wrestling. In a press conference, current NOAH President Narihiro Takeda explained the new operational structure, which will have him staying on as Executive Officer. DDT Pro President Sanshiro Takagi will be taking on the same duties for NOAH along with a new EVP and board directors.

Takagi explained that the two organizations would work together going forward, continuing a friendly business relationship that has gone back years. He also explained that the two companies will still be independent, but they will utilize the same PR, marketing, accounting, and other general affairs. DDT Pro’s video service DDT Universe will showcase Pro Wrestling NOAH shows starting with tomorrow’s Korakuen Hall card. The two companies plan to run joint two-night events in the future for big events, including one at Nippon Budokan in November.

For more from the press conference, the “unofficial but authorized” DDT Pro English Twitter has provided a full translation of the media event.
