ROH Wrestling Results (6/29/20): A Spotlight On Kenny King

King reflects on some of his most heated rivalries, including The All Night Express’ clash with The Briscoes.

ROH World Television Champion: Kushida (c) vs. Kenny King (ROH Death Before Dishonor 2017)

Both men exchange holds and feel each other out. King rolls to the outside to regroup. King takes Kushida down with an arm drag and Kushida rolls to the outside. Kushida hits a cartwheel dropkick. King grounds Kushida, but the champion slams him face-first into the barricade. Kushida jumps off a chair and hits a dropkick on King. The champion dropkicks King’s arm. King avoids a Cattle Mutilation, but Kushida snaps his arm over the rope. Kushida drops King with a pele kick and continues to ground him. King hits an athletic kick and clotheslines Kushida. The champion locks in an armbar, but King powerbombs his way out of it. King catches Kushida in mid-air, but the champion sends him face-first into the ring post. Kushida dives off the top rope onto King at ringside. The champion hits a DDT, but King quickly escapes the Hoverboard Lock. Kushida counters the Royal Flush, but King escapes the Hoverboard Lock again. The champion locks in his signature hold again, but King escapes it again. King drops Kushida with a spinebuster. The competitors trade blows, and King plants Kushida with a Royal Flush for the win.

King reflects on his “incredible” match with Kushida and the experience of winning the title in his backyard. He said he can’t wait to get back in the ring.
