The latest on Joey Ryan’s lawsuit against IMPACT Wrestling.

After IMPACT Wrestling terminated Joey Ryan’s contract following allegations of sexual abuse, Joey Ryan filed a wrongful termination suit against the promotion and September.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports Ryan is requesting judgment in his favor from Circuit Court of Davidson County, Tennessee, claiming IMPACT had 30 days, with an additional 30-day extension, to respond to his lawsuit filed on September 24. In their response, made on December 4, IMPACT Wrestling denied all of the allegations against them, arguing that Ryan’s contract ran through August 2021 “unless earlier terminated.” In defense of his client, Joey Ryan’s lawyer stated IMPACT is “not an incompetent or a minor” but failed to answer the lawsuit in an appropriate amount of time, and therefore they feel justified in their attempt to seek justice.

WrestleZone will continue to monitor the story and report any and all updates.
