Seth Rollins: Being On The Top Of The Card Is Roman Reigns’ Thing, I Care About Having The Best Match

During WrestleMania season, fans and analysts often emphasize the arrangement of the card for WWE’s biggest show of the year.

But former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins doesn’t worry about his place on the card too much. In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Rollins explained that he chooses to focus on putting on the best match, regardless of its placement.

“I always take it to the next level when it comes to WrestleMania,” said Rollins. “And here’s the thing: I’m not Roman Reigns. He is going to be on the top of the card. That’s not necessarily my thing. I want to have the best performance of the night. That’s my thing.

“You mentioned some of the past WrestleMania matches I’ve had and they didn’t always come at the end of the show. No matter where I’m at on the card, I’m looking to steal the show. I’ve dedicated my life to this. I don’t care about being the top of the card; I care about being the best.”

For example, Rollins recalled his match with Randy Orton at WWE WrestleMania 31. Though it wasn’t the main event contest, he still treated it like one. He described how he uses the same mentality for every WrestleMania.

“I always want to give my best performance and never hold back, no matter where I am on the card,” said Rollins.
