Sheamus started the action early with an open challenge at WWE WrestleMania Backlash Kickoff.
The WWE United States Champion dared anyone on the roster to step up and face him in a non-title match. Ricochet answered the call and took the fight to the champion as soon as the bell rang.

Clad in jeans and sneakers, Ricochet fought valiantly, but “The Celtic Warrior” overpowered him. WWE’s resident superhero to rally with a flurry of the breataking offense he’s known for.

Despite Ricochet’s best efforts, a nasty knee to the face earned Sheamus the victory.
Ricochet attackd Sheamus after the bell and put the champion’s jacket on. He threatened Sheamus by vowing to regain the WWE United States Championship.
