JTG Wants To Represent Shad And Cryme Tyme ‘In The Best Light’ And Keep The Team’s Memory Alive

Former WWE star JTG is starting a new chapter in his career, as he recently made his NWA debut at the promotion’s “When Our Shadows Fall” event.

In an interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, JTG explained how his career has changed following the tragic passing of his former tag team partner, Shad Gaspard. JTG described how he represents now Shad and their team, Cryme Tyme.

“I’m not just representing myself anymore,” said JTG. “When people see JTG, Jay Tha Gawd, they automatically think of Shad.

“I wanna make sure I represent the team and myself and him in the best light possible, and keep Cryme Tyme alive with whatever I do forwards.”

The world will never know how Cryme Tyme as a unit could have translated in NWA, but JTG stated that he thinks the duo would have fit right in because of their passion for storytelling.
“I think we’d have adjusted pretty good,” said JTG. “Shad is always big on telling stories too, so we would definitely have took some adjusting.”

As for his own run in NWA, JTG emphasized that he, like most of the promotion’s roster, values storytelling and old-school wrestling.
“Everyone seems to be on the same page,” said JTG. “We’re here to tell a story and bring old school wrestling back!”
