MJF Outlines ‘The Labors’ Chris Jericho Must Endure To Face Him Again

Chris Jericho has been trying to get one more match with MJF for some time now, and at AEW Road Rager, MJF finally revealed just what Jericho must go through in order to get that bout.

Coming out to meet with each other in the ring, MJF said that he doesn’t care what fans want and it’s a shame that he and Jericho got to the point they’re at. He made it clear that he used to look up to Jericho. MJF went on to remind Jericho of the times that he put Jon Moxley through several matches just to get the chance to face “Le Champion.” The leader of The Pinnacle noted that “karma sucks” before he detailed his love for Greek mythology, specifically the story of Hercules and his labors.

MJF said that in order to face him again, Jericho must go through his own series of labors. The first four of these tests will be in the form of stipulation matches against opponents and stipulations chosen by MJF. Finally, the last labor will be a match against MJF himself.

Jericho responded by saying that if he can’t get through the first four labors, then maybe he doesn’t deserve to be in AEW. But he stated that he’ll accept the conditions because, as Jericho put it, he’s the god of war, battle, and thunder, and he’s going to beat him and ruin MJF’s life. After he signed the paperwork, Jericho attempted to leave, but MJF stopped him and said that where he comes from, a deal isn’t done until both parties shake hands. MJF then made Jericho shake his hand, but Jericho didn’t let go. Instead, he hit a short-armed Judas Effect to leave MJF down and out.

It’s also worth noting that a fan hopped the barricade and ran into the ring, but Jericho dropped him with a Judas Effect. Security then escorted the fan away from the squared circle.
