Memphis Manager/Promoter Bert Prentice Passes Away

USA Championship Wrestling announced on Wednesday that Bert Prentice, a legendary figure in the world of wrestling, has passed away at the age of 63. 

Prentice was mainly active in the 90s, where he acted as a manager and promoter in the Memphis area. Prentice was also a superstar in the United States Wrestling Association, where he faced off against the likes of Jerry Lawler and other legends during his time there. He is perhaps best known for managing Tully Blanchard. 

In a post on its Facebook page, USA Championship Wrestling mourned the loss, saying that Prentice would be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

The statement is as follows:

It is with a heavy heart that USA Championship Wrestling announces the passing of our leader, our family, & our friend Bert Prentice.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him, as well as the lives he touch over the years though wrestling and his philanthropic endeavors for the children.

Rest in Peace our dear friend.
