AEW Dynamite Results (8/11/21)

A video package hypes up the AEW Women’s World Championship match between Britt Baker and Red Velvet, which will be the main event of Rampage on Friday.

In-ring segment: Britt Baker and Tony Schiavone

Baker gets a warm reception from her hometown crowd. Baker refuses to comment on Red Velvet’s rise to the top. She states that she has always been at the top of the women’s division, but she commends Red Velvet’s fearlessness.

Baker notes that she’s Pittsburgh’s hope, and Red Velvet doesn’t have a shot in “Brittsburgh.” Red Velvet attacks Baker, and the two women brawl until officials separate them.

In a video promo, Ricky Starks and Brian Cage discuss their feud, and the FTW Champion tells Cage he can find him next week. “The Machine” tells Starks that a face-to-face confrontation won’t go well for him.

IMPACT World Tag Team Championship: The Good Brothers (c) (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson) (with Brandon Cutler) vs. The Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson)

Grayson dives onto the Good Brothers during their entrance. Uno drops Anderson with some strikes, and the challengers double-team “Machine Gun.” Uno rolls Anderson up for a two count. Anderson gets some breathing room when Brandon Cutler pulls Uno off the apron. Colt Cabana punches Cutler, and Frankie Kazarian attacks the latter to remove him fro the equation.

Gallows drops Grayson with a big boot. The champions take control by isolating Uno in the ring. Gallows rocks Uno with another boot to the face. Uno fights back with a hurricanrana to Anderson. Grayson gets the hot tag and slams Anderson to the mat. Grayson hits the Good Brothers with a double Pele kick. He tosses Anderson into Gallows and hits a 450 splash for a two count.

Uno breaks up a Magic Killer attempt, and Grayson dives onto Gallows. Uno is seemingly closing in on the win, but Gallows distracts the referee and hits the Gun Stun on Grayson. The Magic Killer puts Grayson down for the win.

Winners and still the IMPACT World Tag Team Champions: The Good Brothers

In a video promo, NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille hypes up her title match with Leyla Hirsch. She says the whole world will watch her defeat Hirsch at NWA Empowerrr.

In the ring, QT Marshall demands an apology from Tony Schiavone. He instructs The Factory to attack Schiavone’s son, Christopher, who’s sitting in the front row. Marshall demands Schiavone to apologize, and Marshall doesn’t accept it when Schiavone does. He drops Christopher with a cutter, and Paul Wight comes to the ring.

Wight confronts The Factory and chokeslams Aaron Solo. He then stares down Marshall.

The Five Labours of Jericho, Chapter 4: Wardlow vs. Chris Jericho (MJF at ringside)

Jericho takes the fight to Wardlow, but the big man easily overpowers him. Jericho fires back and hits the Codebreaker for a one count. Wardlow tosses Jericho across the ring twice. The fight spills to the ringside area, and Wardlow dumps Jericho onto the apron. He slams “Le Champion” into the ring post and drops him with an emphatic powerbomb.

MJF interferes by choking Jericho on the rope while Wardlow distracts the referee. With several more powerbombs, Wardlow is completely dominating the bout. Wardlow hits the F-10, but he doesn’t go for the pin. Jericho finally rallies and locks Wardlow in the Walls, but MJF rakes his eyes to break the hold.

MJF tries to pass his ring to Wardlow, but the referee catches him and ejects him from the ring. While the official is distracted, Jericho hits Wardlow with a bat and nails the Judas Effect for the win.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Shawn Spears attacks Jericho, but Sammy Guevara makes the save. The Pinnacle outnumbers the duo, and MJF locks in the Salt of the Earth arm-bar. Jake Hager runs MJF off, and the leader of The Pinnacle reveals his stipulation for their rematch next week. He states that Jericho can’t use the Judas Effect, and he can’t use the “Judas” theme song, either.

MJF then offered a spoiler for the bout by saying next wek, he’ll prove that he’s Jericho’s successor.
