WWE is seemingly moving closer to choosing St. Louis, Missouri, as the location for the 2022 Royal Rumble, according to a recent report from Fightful Select.
Per this report from Sean Ross Sapp, St. Louis is said to be the front-runner for the upcoming pay-per-view, with sources telling Fightful Select that the location was getting closer to being chosen as of one month ago. Seattle, Washington was also heavily rumored to be in the running for hosting the event, but it’s unclear as to what the final destination will be.
Alongside the news that St. Louis is being considered, the highly popular pay-per-view may be moving its date. According to the report, there has been a “significant discussion” on whether or not the 2022 Royal Rumble should be moved to February, instead of the traditional January date. Of course, nothing is set in stone just yet, with WWE likely confirming the venue and date as we get closer to next year.
