RAW Tag Title Match, Alexa Bliss vs. Eva Marie Announced For WWE SummerSlam, Updated Card

This week’s episode of WWE RAW opened with Riddle falling to AJ Styles while Randy Orton abandoned his former friend. By the end of the night, though, RK-Bro had reunited, and the duo officially earned a shot at the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam.

In a hard-fought bout to start the night, Styles took down Riddle with a Styles Clash after a timely distraction from Omos. Despite Riddle’s disappointment in the matter, he was still there, albeit a little late, for Orton when he needed him later in the night against Omos. In another relatively quick match, Orton came away with the “win” after Styles — who was at ringside — hit “The Viper with a cheap shot, ending the match via a disqualification and kickstarting a brawl that ended with Riddle coming down to the ring.

Riddle saved Orton from a beating, compelling Orton to say that though respect isn’t handed out for free, Riddle has earned his due to the way the “The Original Bro” has remained loyal to him. Orton then said that RK-Bro is back, and the two shook hands and hugged while the crowd cheered them on. Riddle then got on the microphone and challenged Styles and Omos for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam. Later in the show, the bout was officially added to SummerSlam.

Also announced for SummerSlam during tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW was a match between Alexa Bliss and Eva Marie, with Bliss looking to officially put an end to the “Eva-lution.”

The official announcement from WWE’s website is as follows:

At SummerSlam, Alexa Bliss will set out to transform Eva-lution into Lilly-lution when the twisted Goddess goes one-on-one with Eva Marie.

Who is more dangerous: Five-time World Champion Alexa Bliss or her creepy, possibly supernatural doll-mate Lilly? Although that question has yet to be answered, no one can deny the frightening anomaly that is the latest incarnation of Five Feet of Fury, whose truly menacing persona and unexplainable mystical power are unleashed on anyone who crosses her.

Attempting to step into Bliss’ eerie spotlight is Eva Marie, who recently burst back onto the scene with promises of a new Eva-lution to take over Raw. Although her beauty, sheer presence and ruthless mean streak are undeniable, the most dangerous thing about Eva might be her powerful protege Doudrop, who she seems to have at her beck-and-call.

Despite enduring great suffering and humiliation at the hands of her mentor Eva, though, Doudrop has failed to defeat Bliss or to take Lilly away from her. Now, Eva has promised to singlehandedly put an end to Bliss at SummerSlam.

Don’t miss all the action of SummerSlam, this Saturday, Aug. 21, streaming at 8 ET/5 PT exclusively on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.
