NJPW Strong Moving To Saturdays; Daniel Garcia vs. Josh Alexander Announced For ‘BBQ Brawl’

In honor of Labor Day, New Japan Pro-Wrestling will present three star-studded matches at “BBQ Brawl” under its NJPW Strong banner.

In perhaps the most buzzworthy bout, IMPACT X-Division Champion Josh Alexander will take on Daniel Garcia, who has been competing for Al Elite Wrestling in recent weeks.

Plus, Matt Morris (formerly known as Aiden English) will take on Hikuleo, and Rey Horus will face TJP.

In other NJPW Strong news, the show will be moving to Saturdays on September 18.

The announcement from the NJPW website is as follows:

September 18 will see a brand new era for NJPW STRONG. After growing consistently on Friday nights at 10/9c, September will see weekends get even STRONGer, with a new timeslot on NJPW World and FITE of Saturdays at 8PM eastern, and 5PM Pacific. With a new day, a new time, and new crowds, we can’t wait to have you join us for a new STRONG starting on September 18!
