NXT North American Title Bout Set For 11/23 WWE NXT 2.0

Johnny Gargano wants to give the man who never misses a must-see match on the November 23 episode of WWE NXT 2.0.

On the November 16 episode, when NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams attacked Dexter Lumis, Gargano made a delayed save. “Papa John”, infuriated by the fact that Hayes and his hype man attacked his son-in-law, challenged the champion to a match because “Melo” made their feud personal. But when “Johnny Wrestling” threw down the gauntlet, Pete Dunne had a bone to pick with him.

Dunne made it clear that he wanted a title shot, so he wasn’t going to let Gargano simply ask for one. Hayes and Williams then joined the fray; Williams mocked the NXT Originals’ height while Hayes bragged about being the brand’s “A” champion before he accepted the challenge. “Melo:” might be “Bout it Bout it” now, but time will tell if he can put his money where his mouth is.

Later in the show, the broadcast team also confirmed a non-title bout between NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa and Grayson Waller. The two stars had a heated, albeit indirect, exchange on Tuesday night, as Waller criticized Ciampa’s generation for working on the independents, and “The Blackheart” took this stance personally. Determined to prove that the “new school” doesn’t have enough integrity, Ciampa vowed to teach Waller a lesson next wek.

The card for the November 23 episode of WWE NXT 2.0 is as follows:

  • NXT North American Championship: Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Pete Dunne
  • NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa vs. Grayson Waller (Non-title)

WrestleZone will have full coverage of the show next week.
