Current ROH Titleholder Competes At AEW Dark Tapings On 12/3 *Spoilers*

The AEW Dark tapings at Universal Studios on December 3 featured a return and multiple debuts. Spoilers for one of these noteworthy appearances are below.

Josh Woods, the reigning Ring of Honor Pure Champion, made his AEW debut at the tapings. He faced “The Chairman” Shawn Spears in a singles match.

Woods defeated Jonathan Gresham for the title at ROH Death Before Dishonor in December, and he’ll defend the gold against Brian Johnson at ROH Final Battle: End of an Era on December 11. “The Tactical Beast” has been taking bookings in recent weeks because ROH announced that it will be going on hiatus in the first quarter of 2022, and multiple outlets reported that the company won’t be renewing the contracts of its talent roster at the end of 2021. ROH star Jay Lethal has already jumped to AEW; he signed with the promotion and debuted at its Full Gear pay-per-view on November 13.

At the same AEW Dark tapings, Brandi Rhodes returned and Marina Shafir made her AEW debut.
