Major League Wrestling has announced a clash between two powerhouses for the MLW Blood & Thunder taping on January 21.
In a tweet on January 5, the promotion announced that Alex Kane will defend the MLW National Openweight Championship against Calvin Tankman. The two fighters have been feuding for the past several weeks, and both men have quickly risen to the forefront of MLW. Kane won the title on the special Thanksgiving episode of MLW Fusion; he defeated Myron Reed, Zenshi, Alex Shelley and ACH in a ladder match.
