Goldberg Has One More Match On WWE Deal, But He Wouldn’t ‘Ride Off Into The Sunset’ If He Beats Roman Reigns

Sometimes we have to be careful what we wish for.

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg recently appeared on After The Bell with Corey Graves and said that Universal Champion Roman Reigns needs to be careful what he wishes for ahead of their match at this weekend’s Elimination Chamber premium live event.

“I still have the ability to be extremely devastating, I really do,” explained Goldberg. “It may not be for the duration that it used to be but if you turn your head and you take your eyes off of me, be careful. I still have it mentally and I still have it physically to be an extremely dangerous adversary. So, don’t look past me because of this gray stuff by any stretch of the imagination because a mind is an extremely powerful asset and what I lack physically right now compared to what I had back in the day, I have up here [points to head].

“Experience means a lot in this business and I even may be more deadly than I was in the past because, I’m a thinking man now and before, I’d used to just go one hundred percent forward quite obviously and now I have a game plan and now, I’d like to think that I’m multi-dimensional. So, be careful what you wish for Roman because you never know what you’re going to get.”

Goldberg would then address the fact that this is the last match on his current WWE deal, noting that he’d be proud to return if he becomes champion.

“I would not ride off into the sunset if I was victorious by any stretch of the imagination because the champion’s responsibility is to be there on television and represent it to the nth degree,” Goldberg admitted. “I would not run out of here, I would not hold anybody up because of what the business has given me, I’m not that guy anymore. It does present a very interesting predicament and I’ve tried not to look past my current adversary and I’ll deal with that situation afterwards. But for now, this could be my last one and I’ve got to go out the right way and I’m going to try and break Roman’s face and every other part of his body and become Universal Champion.”

Goldberg is set to challenge for the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber on February 19 live from the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia.
