Report: AEW Has Made Inquiries Into Using Popular Hardy Boyz Theme Song

Fans continue to speculate about the Hardy Boyz‘ potential reunion in All Elite Wrestling, and a new report has added some substance to these rumors.

Fightful Select reports that AEW has made “inquiries” about licensing “Loaded”, the theme most associated with Matt and Jeff Hardy. WWE doesn’t own the song, though the duo used it for two decades. It has been used elsewhere, so it’s not strictly tied to WWE.

It’s important that WWE does own “No More Words”. Jeff was passionate about using the song again during his previous contract negotiations with the company. Hardy has the rights to “Modest”, a song he used in TNA Wrestling, and “Obsolete”.

Additionally, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Jeff Hardy is “free and clear” of his non-compete clause following his WWE release in December. Johnson wrote that he confirmed the news with WWE sources.

Outside of AEW, Matt and Jeff Hardy will compete at several independent wrestling shows in the team’s comeback tour over the next several weeks.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
