Scorpio Sky is the new AEW TNT Champion.
Sky challenged Sammy Guevara for the title on the March 9 episode of AEW Dynamite. “The Spanish God” clearly wasn’t 100%, as he was banged up following a violet Tornado Trios match at AEW Revolution. Sky repeatedly targeted Guevara’s wounded ribs, but the champion fought valiantly, hoping to leave the night with his title reign intact.
In the end, Dan Lambert distracted Guevara and American Top Team member Paige VanZant attacked Guevara’s girlfriend, Tay Conti. This interference threw Guevara off his game and helped Sky win the bout.

After the bell, VanZant continued her beatdown of Conti, and Sky added insult to injury by attacking Guevara. VanZant then officially signed her AEW contract, so the former UFC standout is now “All Elite.”
AEW subsequently noted that Sky is now the first person who has held the TNT and World Tag Team Championship. Alongside Frankie Kazarian, he was one-half of the first AEW World Tag Team Champions.
Sky will be put to the test one week after his victory; he’ll defend the title against Wardlow on the March 16 episode of AEW Dynamite.
