Report: Candice LeRae’s WWE Contract Set To Expire This Spring

Candice LeRae‘s contract is reportedly coming up soon.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that the WWE NXT 2.0 star’s deal will expire this spring, and it hasn’t been renewed as of this writing. Ross Sapp also noted that the contract hasn’t been frozen yet, and he cited that WWE sources aren’t sure whether this outcome is a possibility due to the fact that LeRae has been on maternity leave.

Additionally, Ross Sapp wrote that the WWE sources Fightful spoke with don’t expect her to return by the time the deal expires, and they also expressed that the company hasn’t discussed an extension at this point, though the company didn’t wish to bother LeRae with contract talks right after the birth of her child.

LeRae, a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, has been absent from WWE TV for the past few months in preparation for the birth of her child with Johnny Gargano. The couple welcomed Quill Louis Gargano into the world in February, just two months after Johnny left the company when his own deal expired. Ross Sapp’s report cites WWE sources who noted that the company would like to have the couple return if possible, as they’re both on good terms with the company.

LeRae made her debut on NXT TV in 2017, and she has been a featured member of the brand in recent years. Many fans fondly look back on her run alongside Johnny in The Way, a stable the couple led for several months prior to the latter’s departure.
