GCW Find You Again Results (4/22/22): Joey Janela, Nick Gage And More Compete

Big Starkz Brand (Billie Starks, Cole Radrick, and Calvin Tankman) vs. Second Gear Crew (Matthew Justice and Mance Warner)

The broadcast team announced that AJ Gray was unable to make the show due to travel issues, so Justice and Warner will be outnumbered here. Radrick and Justice start the bout, but Starkz quickly tags in. Justice takes the fight to her, but she hits him right back. Warner tags in and invites Starks to hit him, which she does. “Mancer” drops her with a forearm.

Tankman tags in. SGC blasts him with chairs, as the match spills to the outside. Starkz hits Justice several times with a chair. Radrick stuns Warner with a series of strikes. The two teams keep brawling, with BSB controlling the action. Warner dodges a dive from Radrick.

SGC gains the upper hand, but Tankman takes down both men with a double clothesline. He hits a crossbody on the duo and tags Radrick. He blasts Warner with a series of strikes. Warner floors Starkz with a shot to the face.

Tankman and Warner exchange strikes. “Heavyweight Hustle” powerbombs Warner. Radrick hits a lionsault onto a door that’s on top of Justice. He accidentally takes Tankman down with a dive off the apron. Starks dodges a chair shot, forcing Justice to blast Warner. She floors Warner with a chair shot and hits a Swanton. Warner slams her through a door for a one count. Warner pins Starks after a Spear.

Winners: Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner and Matthew Justice)

Scramble Match: “Spyder” Nate Webb vs. Jimmy Lloyd vs. Lucky 13 vs. Gringo Loco vs. Steve Scott vs. ASF vs. Yoya 

Bodies are flying right away. Loco dumbs Webb to the outside, and he takes down several competitors. ASF jumps off Loco and drops Lloyd with a DDT. ASF catches Lloyd with a Stunner. Scott wrenches him in an Octopus hold and takes a selfie. Yoya drops him with a slam and a Spanish Fly. Lucky 13 drills him with a knee to the face.

Lloyd rocks Lucky 13 with a kick to the face. Loco takes Webb and Lloyd down with a double arm drag. Yoya dives onto several of his opponents outside of the ring. ASF hits a corkscrew dive onto a group on the outside. Lucky 13 follows suit. Loco dives over Scott onto several of the competitors. Scott hits a dive to the outside. Bodies keep flying all over the place. Loco hits Lloyd with a diving cutter. ASF floors Lloyd with a destroyer.

Webb takes control and hits a chair-sault onto Lucky 13 for the win.

Winner: “Spyder” Nate Webb

After the match, Charles Mason attacks Webb with a piano wire. Officials and fellow competitors check on Webb.

GCW Tag Team Championship: BUSSY (EFFY and Allie Katch) (c) vs. Levi Everett and 1 Called Manders

EFFY and Manders start the match and trade strikes. EFFY “rides the bull” by getting on Manders’ back for several seconds. Everett  tags in, and EFFY accidentally breaks his butter churn. EFFY licks his hand and churns the butter in a proactive manner. Allie tags in and, after a brief surge, the challengers gang up on her and gang the upper hand.

Everett goes for a superplex, but Katch fights out of it. Manders and Everett continue to isolate Katch, but she rallies and drops both men with a double DDT. EFFY makes the hot tag and clears house. He slams Everett onto Manders. Everett grabs BUSSY’s arms and churns them like butter before he turns it into an arm-breaker.

Katch keeps fighting, and she drops Everett with a kick. Katch powerbombs Manders. EFFY tries to slam Manders but winds up getting sent through a door. Manders floors Katch with a lariat. EFFY hits his opponents with a steel chair several times. Allie blasts them with a door.

Katch pins Everett after a piledriver.

Winners and still GCW Tag Team Champions: BUSSY

Alex Shelley vs. Jordan Oliver

Shelley and Oliver feel each other out. Oliver goes low with a dropkick, but he eats an elbow to the face. He targets the leg and grounds Shelley. The veteran takes Oliver with a spinning slam and locks in the Border City Stretch. He wrenches Oliver’s arm over his shoulder and kicks him in the back. Oliver fires up with a flurry of offense.

Shelley counters a powerbomb into a facebuster and blasts him with a kick to the face. He gets a two count with an Air Raid Crash. Shelley locks in the Border City Stretch, but Oliver reaches the ropes. Oliver powerbombs Shelley for a two count and locks in a Boston Crab. Shelley stacks Oliver up for a two count. They trade blows, and both men are down. Shelley slams Oliver face-first into a turnbuckle. He gets a one count with a Sliced Bread #2.

Oliver suplexes Shelley, but the veteran hits Shellshock for a two count. He then makes Oliver tap out to the Border City Stretch.

Winner: Alex Shelley

After the match, Shelley says this match was extra special because one of his best friends, Jimmy Rave, was Oliver’s trainer. He says Jimmy did a good job with this one before he hugs Oliver.

Joey Janela vs. John Wayne Murdoch

Janela rolls to the outside and does a “Nature Boy” strut. JWM flips him off. Janela drinks from a jug that’s full of yellow liquid and does Triple H’s classic spit bit. JWM takes Janela down with a shoulder tackle. He bites Janela’s fingers, but “The Bad Boy” hits a running knee strike. The two men exchange chops, and Janela pokes JWM in the eye.

“The Bad Boy” hits JWM in the face. JWM takes Janela down with a senton off the apron. Murdoch drinks from the jug full of yellow liquid and spits on Janela. Janela locks in the Figure-Four and pushes a thumbtack into JWM’s head. Outside the ring, JWM dodges a dive from Janela, sending him crashing into the chairs. JWM hits a crossbody while Janela is seated in a chair.

Back in the ring, Janela locks in a half-crab, but JWM reaches the ropes. He blasts JWM’s chest with some forearms. JWM fires up with a chin-breaker, some jabs and an elbow. JWM ducks a chair shot, so Janela accidentally hits himself when the steel bounces off the rope. The two men trade strike, suplexes and kicks. Both men are down after they knock heads. Outside the ring, Janela climbs up and dives onto JWM, sending him through a door. JWM suplexes Janela onto a chair. An avalanche destroyer through a door earn JWM the win.

Winner: John Wayne Murdoch

After the match, JWM addresses the fact that Colon called him out. He tells Colon to fight him now, and he does. They brawl until they’re separated by wrestlers and referees. Colon breaks free, and they keep fighting until they’re separated again.
