Hangman Page has climbed to the top of the mountain in All Elite Wrestling, and he currently reigns supreme as the company’s World Champion.
Throughout his remarkable journey, he has competed in a number of memorable matches, including the bout where he won the world title by dethroning Kenny Omega.
During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Hangman was asked to name which match he was the most proud of. The champion first named his 60-minute bout against Bryan Danielson from AEW Winter is Coming 2021. He explained that he thought he would “perish” due to the length of the contest. He went on to name the tag team classic where he and Kenny Omega faced The Young Bucks.
“That’s hard to say,” said Page. “Maybe 60 minutes with Bryan just for the fact that I wrestled for 60 minutes because I thought that I might die. Yeah, I thought, like 60 minutes is a long time to do anything. Wrestling, I thought I could actually perish. I survived it, so I’m proud of that. But I guess for a very different reason, I guess the one I’m probably the most proud of is the match with Kenny against The Young Bucks. Yeah, proudest of that.”
When asked about the Full Gear 2021 match against Omega, where Hangman won the gold, he stated this clash is also at the top of the list.
“Yeah that’s up there as well, yeah,” said Page. “Those are probably the three.”
Page recently defended the title against Adam Cole in a Texas Death Match, and he confronted CM Punk this past week on AEW Dynamite.
