Homicide Calls Himself The ‘Hood Harley Race,’ Wants To Defend NWA Junior Heavyweight Title Around The World

Homicide wants to be a traveling ‘world’ champion as NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion.

Homicide won the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship at the 2022 Crockett Cup by defeating Austin Aries, Colby Corino, and Darius Lockhart in a four-way match to win the vacant title. During an appearance on the Battleground PodcastHomicide spoke about what his NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship meant to him and how he wants to elevate the title and be a traveling champion.

“I’m real about this. I wanted to become an NWA Champion and be part of the group. [Years ago], I was watching WWF at the time and I had stolen cable, but don’t tell nobody that. So the NWA came out and I was like, ‘the hell is this? This is awesome!’ and I just fell in love and I wanted to join it. And man, I’m part of the group,” Homicide said. “I’m a champion, I’m part of history. It’s an honor and a pleasure, man. For real, it’s real talk. I’m very happy where I’m at right now, man. I got two kids, a lovely wife, I’m a family man. I’m finally grown up and I’m doing my thing right now.”

Homicide expanded on how he wants to take the title all over the place and defend it on the independents, comparing himself to the current NWA Worlds Heayweight Champion Matt Cardona, as well as a former one in Harley Race.

“I’ve been doing the same thing as Matt Cardona does, but I’m very quiet. I’m not saying bad things about Matt like he’s going out there, that he needs to open his mouth. The way I am, I’m just very quiet. I like to surprise people, that was my career back in the days. Ain’t nobody give me no attention. So I was like, ‘I’m gonna break the door and I’m gonna be like I’m here.’ And people are like, ‘oh okay.’ I’ve been doing the same thing [as Cardona]. I call myself the Hood Harley Race because I want go all over the world and defend this belt to every independent wrestler, maybe give them a shot to come to the National Wrestling Alliance. Then the same thing with the Ten Pounds of Gold. But right now we got this belt.”
