The Dyad revealed their true identities on the July 19 episode of WWE NXT 2.0.
For a number of weeks, the two masked men have accompanied Joe Gacy and done his dirty work. Gacy has been teasing the looming reveal, and on Tuesday night, the two finally unmasked. The leader set the stage by stating that The Dyad have surrendered themselves to him. Now, they are pillars of inclusion and acceptance, and they will be who they are meant to be. He said the past is behind them before he took their hoods off to reveal the former Grizzled Young Veterans.
Gacy made it clear that former NXT UK Tag Team Champions James Drake and Zack Gibson have been renamed; Drake is now Jagger Reid, and Gibson’s new name is Rip Fowler. The duo stated that they were two souls that needed strength and guidance. Now that they have found redemption, they can finally be recognized. Gacy then teased that many others will be unshackled as there’s plenty of room under The Schism’s tree.
