Montez Ford: SummerSlam Is A Chance To Do Something We’ve Never Done Before

Montez Ford says the Street Profits are looking to make history at SummerSlam.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Montez Ford spoke about the Street Profits’ history with The Usos and how they still have a chance to make history at WWE SummerSlam. The Usos and the Street Profits (who are also former RAW and SmackDown tag team champions) have faced off thirteen times since May 2021, but Ford says winning the Undisputed Tag Team Championship would be unprecedented.

“This is a chance to do something we’ve never done before: defeating The Usos and becoming undisputed tag team champions,” Ford says. “That last time we wrestled at Money in the Bank was special. You could feel the intensity; you could feel the chemistry. Now we’re looking to be even better. This is the biggest match of our career, and it’s taking place on a historic stage at SummerSlam.”

Ford also spoke about Jeff Jarrett being the referee for their match, noting how they need to pull out a win against The Usos in Nashville.

“Jarrett ups the ante for us,” Ford says. “This is a long time coming for myself and Dawkins. The Usos have been so dominant over the past year, and we need that signature win against them.”
