Mark Briscoe On His Children Entering The Wrestling Business: I Think We Got Another Generation Coming

The Briscoes are still adding to their legacy now, but Mark Briscoe can envision his children carrying it in the future.

Ring Of Honor stars The Briscoes spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about facing the Von Erichs at Ric Flair’s Last Match on Starrcast weekend. Mark and Jay have children of their own, opening up the potential for another “wrestling dynasty” down the line. Jay said that his son is more of a basketball fan now, but Mark said that he knows at least two of his children are likely going to step into the squared circle in the future.

Jay: “My son is walking around here somewhere, he’s 13 now, he’s about as tall as me. So, he knows what’s going on [with our careers]… he likes to play basketball, he isn’t really into wrestling.”

Mark: “I got seven youngins right now, and of the seven, I can say two of them [are interested]. I got a pretty high percentage chance that two of them are going to end up wrestlers. Two, if not three, and that might go up, might go down, but as of right now I got three of them that just, they love getting in the ring, they love rolling, they love learning stuff. They ask me ‘Daddy, how do I jump off the top rope? How do I do that?’ So yeah, I think so, I think so. I think we got another generation coming.”

The Briscoes were victorious at Ric Flair’s Last Match against the Von Erichs. The duo also spoke about potential matchups they could have in ROH or AEW and how they feel about the new era of ROH which you can read about here.
