Logan Paul Confirms Roman Reigns Press Conference, Paul Heyman Returns To WWE SmackDown

Logan Paul teased a “massive announcement” on the September 16 episode of WWE SmackDown, and he delivered.

He kicked off the show and said, “I think I did it again.” Paul noted that he said some stupid stuff when Roman Reigns was on his show. He admitted that he has run his mouth in the past, and he backed up his words. Paul stated that he has set up a press conference for September 17, and if Reigns is man enough, he’ll show up.

Paul Heyman and The Bloodline, sans Reigns, interrupted. This marked Heyman’s first televised appearance since Brock Lesnar dropped him with an F5 at WWE SumerSlam.

The Bloodline approached the ring, and Heyman stepped into it. He continued to address Paul and noted that, if anyone outside WWE could ever be a Paul Heyman guy, it would be him. Heyman gave Paul credit for his past accomplishments, like when he fought Floyd Mayweather. He stated that Paul shouldn’t open his mouth about Reigns. Heyman told him to make the smart decision of picking a fight with someone else. Paul responded by saying that he knows the press conference is good business.

He wondered whether Heyman was worried he’d challenge Reigns for the title. Paul admitted that, if he does challenge Reigns, he’ll probably get smashed. That being said, all he needs is to land one lucky shot to drop Reigns like a sack of potatoes and win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Heyman said that he has to handle Paul now before he called on Solo Sikoa. The NXT North American Champion prepared to step into the ring. Paul made him a bet, saying that he could knock Heyman out before Sikoa could even get into the ring.

Sami Zayn entered the ring and tried to deescalate the situation. He encouraged Sikoa to stand down and said that Reigns should have let him, not Heyman, handle Paul. Zayn approached Oaul, who leveled him with a punch. The Usos charged the ring, and Paul escaped. Ricochet came to the ring to even the odds ahead of his match with Zayn.

WWE subsequently confirmed that Reigns will attend the press conference in Las Vegas, which will air live at 3:30 p.m. EST on WWE’s social media channels.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer previously reported that the press conference will focus on WWE Crown Jewel and the planned main event of Reigns vs. Paul.
