AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam Results (9/21): Five Title Matches

AEW All-Atlantic Championship: Pac (c) vs. Orange Cassidy

Pac and Cassidy square off. Cassidy throws his glasses down and goes for a pin attempt right away. He gets a two count on an inside cradle. Pac evades an Orange Punch. Cassidy hits some of his famous kicks and drops Pac with a dropkick. Pac fires back with one of his own. The champion takes control and slams Cassidy onto the apron. Pac dives over the ropes and onto Cassidy. A shotgun dropkick earns Pac a two count. He maintains the advantage and keeps grounding Cassidy. “Freshly Squeezed” rallies. Pac drops Cassidy with a German suplex and takes control again. Cassidy gives him a thumbs up, which only fires the champion up. He drills Cassidy with a boot to the face. Cassidy puts his feet up and lures Pac in for a two count. He hits the Stun-dog Millionaire and rallies with a diving DDT. He hits another tornado DDT for a two count. Cassidy goes for the Orange Punch, but Pac counters and goes for the Brutalizer. Cassidy counters and nails the Orange Punch, but Pac reaches the ropes.

Pac secretly drills Cassidy with a ring bell hammer behind the referee’s back and pins him for the win.

AEW Interim Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. vs. Athena vs. Serena Deeb

Storm takes the fight to her opponents early on. She and Athena are briefly left by themselves. Deeb locks Athena in an abdominal stretch. Baker sneaks up on Deeb and takes her down. She drills Athena with a shot to the face. Storm drills Baker with a dropkick and throws her to the mat. All four women are down after a combined suplex/powerbomb in the corner. Baker and Deeb gain the upper hand. Rebel drops Athena with a clothesline at ringside. Baker and Rebel double-team Athena while Deeb grounds Storm. Deeb and Storm lock in simultaneous crabs on Baker and Athena. They release the holds and trade blows. Baker plants Storm with a swinging neckbreaker. Deeb drops Baker with a neckbreaker in the ropes. Deeb locks Storm in a crab, but Baker breaks it up with a superkick. Athena slams Deeb and Baker at the same time, and Baker’s head gets sandwiched. Baker rolls up Storm for a two count, but Storm turns it around and pins her for the win.

Baker, with her nose and mouth bleeding, attacks Storm. Jamie Hayter comes to the ring and joins in on the attack. Baker, Hayter, and Deeb attack the babyfaces until Saraya (Paige) comes to the ring. Saraya stands tall as Baker and her allies leave the ring.

In a vignette, Darby Allin carries a body bag on a subway and drags it in the streets of New York. He takes it in a taxi and says he’s going to a funeral.

AEW World Championship: Bryan Danielson vs. Jon Moxley

MJF, holding his chip from All Out, is watching the match high up near the luxury boxes. Moxley and Danielson lock up and feel each other out. They trade blows, and the Blackpool Combat Club stablemates are evenly matched. They exchange some more strikes. Danielson drills Moxley with some stiff kicks. Moxley takes control and grounds Danielson. “The American Dragon” catches Moxley with a dropkick and hits a knee strike off the apron. He suplexes Moxley on the apron and slams him shoulder-first into the ring post twice. Danielson grounds Moxley in the ring. The former champion rallies, but Danielson blasts him with a running knee for a two count. Moxley powerbombs Danielson and locks in a crab. He switches to an ankle lock and transitions to a suplex.

Danielson crotches Moxley on the top rope and drops him with a back superplex for a two count. Moxley traps Danielson in a modified LeBell Lock, but Danielson escapes. Danielson hammers Moxley with a series of blows and locks in the Cattle Mutilation. Danielson blasts Moxley with a kick, but the former champion blasts him with a lariat. “The American Dragon” hits a running knee for a two count. Moxley hits a running stomp and hits the Death Rider for a near fall. Danielson stomps Moxley’s head. Moxley kicks Danielson. “The American Dragon” keeps stomping and locks in a triangle sleeper. He transitions to a LeBell Lock, but Moxley escapes. They battle onto the ramp, and Moxley hits the Death Rider on the stage. Danielson rolls into the ring, and Moxley gets a two count. Moxley locks in a sleeper and rolls through when Danielson tries to escape. He chokes Danielson out, and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner and new AEW World Champion: Jon Moxley

William Regal comes to the ring, and Danielson is clearly upset as the show fades to black.
