9/23 AEW Rampage Viewership Increases With ‘Grand Slam’, Demo Rating Also Up

AEW Rampage viewership increased on September 23.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, Rampage averaged 522,000 viewers on Friday. The first hour drew 558,000 viewers, while the second half of the show drew 486,000 viewers. In the 18 to 49 demographic, hour one scored a 0. 18 rating, while hour two drew a 0.16 rating. The two hours averaged a 0.17 demographic rating.

For comparison, 470,000 viewers watched Rampage last week, and it scored a 0.14 rating. The first hour ranked #4 among cable originals in the demographic, while the second placed #8.

Thurston wrote that Rampage’s first hour was the show’s highest total and demographic viewership since April 8 and April 22, respectively.

This week’s episode was the “Grand Slam” edition of the show, and it kicked off with a No Disqualification Match where Darby Allin and Sting faced the House of Black (Brody King and Buddy Matthews). Plus, Rampage featured the Grand Slam Golden Ticket Battle Royale and a clash between Sammy Guevara and Eddie Kingston. In the main event, Ricky Starks faced Powerhouse Hobbs in a Lights Out Match.
