Another shocking backstage fight has reportedly erupted behind the scenes at All Elite Wrestling, according to a recent report from Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp and TMZ.
In the latest report, Sapp mentions that an “altercation” took place backstage prior to the October 5, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite. The incident occurred between Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Guevara. The two stars had been taking shots at each another all week on social media before things erupted on Wednesday. According to the report, Andrade has been removed from a scheduled mask vs. AEW career match against Dark Order’s 10, with the latter staying on the Rampage schedule.
The report mentions that those on hand for the altercation noted that things started off as a simple verbal argument before becoming physical. Sammy Guevara than shoved Andrade, to which Andrade responded by punching the superstar. It’s unclear just how much further things escalated, but the report specifically mentions it was a not part of a storyline and that Andrade was sent home.
Following the altercation, Andrade took to Twitter and shared a caption that reads “respect me and I’ll respect you.”
