Davey Richards has an additional role with Major League Wrestling besides working as an in-ring talent.
During a new interview with WrestleZone, Davey Richards was speaking about his status with Major League Wrestling. Richards, the current MLW National Openweight Champion, shared that he’s also working as a producer in addition to his in-ring role.
“My job in MLW is in-ring performer and agent, so what I focus on is just putting on the best matches, and then the matches I’m agenting, putting together the best matches so we can create the overall best product,” Richards explained.
Asked how long he’d held the position, Davey Richards said that it’s been going on for some time and said he’s relishing the new role.
“I don’t know [how publicized it was]. I’ve been an agent there for a while and it’s actually worked out well. Court [Bauer, MLW owner] actually just messaged me and said [I was] the most in-demand agent [MLW] has. I’m very, very happy about that, very thankful. Usually at an MLW show I agent two matches, then I wrestle 1-2 matches. Those days are pretty busy, but I like that. I’m really thankful they gave me that opportunity,” Richards said. “It’s all about giving back, so I love it.”
