Matt Cardona Quotes Justin Bieber To Generate Clickbait Headlines About WWE Return

Matt Cardona is the Internet Champion for a reason.

During a recent interview with Steve Fall for WrestlingNews.co, Matt Cardona was asked about the rumors that he’s headed back to WWE soon. Cardona said he’s fine with letting people talk and used a Justin Bieber song to accurately describe his feelings.

“I’m the Internet Champion, of course I see what’s being talked about. Listen, let the people talk. I am a former [WWE] Tag Team Champion, a former Intercontinental Champion, a former United States Champion. I do have some unfinished business, there’s one more left,” Cardona said.

“To quote Justin Bieber, never say never,” Matt Cardona proclaimed. “I hope that makes clickbait headlines. ‘Matt Cardona quotes Justin Bieber, Never Say Never in regards to his WWE return.’”

Asked if he feels like there might be some confusion in regards to “Zack Ryder” returning to WWE as Matt Cardona (if it happened), Cardona said he thinks it’d be easy to follow.

“Maybe for some people. The whole wrestling community is smarter. Look at it this way — when Scott Hall came back as Scott Hall [instead of Razor Ramon in 2002, [the fans] got it,” Cardona stated. “They got it. And if they don’t know, they’ll find out real soon.”

It’s clear Cardona is a master at generating attention for himself, and he recently spoke about using social media as a wrestler and building an online presence. Cardona says people still ask him how they can stand out on social media and it’s about finding the right path.

“It is free advertisement. But the double-edged sword is, it’s free for everybody. So how are you gonna stand out? I don’t know how you’re gonna stand out. You gotta figure that out. But you have all these tools. Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, you have all these tools that are free, and then eventually they’ll pay you. So you just gotta figure out your path and a way to get yourself over because it’s all about getting yourself over.”
