Tony Khan appreciates how hard Sammy Guevara works for All Elite Wrestling despite how the fans currently feel about him.
All Elite Wrestling owner Tony Khan recently sat down with Alex McCarthy of Inside The Ropes to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When the topic of Sammy Guevara came up, Khan put him over as one of the most exciting young wrestlers in the world and said he has one of the biggest hearts in pro wrestling.
“I think he’s one of the most exciting young wrestlers in the world. And even though he’s not beloved or the most popular person, and even though he does things, says things, and really acts like a villain in pro wrestling, I think Sammy Guevara has one of the biggest hearts.”
When asked about Guevara’s recent issues in recent months backstage with Eddie Kingston and Andrade El Idolo, Khan sidestepped the question and said what he appreciates about The Spanish God is that he works really hard regardless if the fans love him or not.
“Well, the thing I really appreciate is he works really hard and whether the fans love him or not,” Tony Khan said. “He works really hard for them and has great matches. And he’s had some of the best in AEW, I think, in the past year, and you can add the two out of three falls match near the top of that great list. I think of some of the awesome matches Sammy has been involved in.”
