WWE NXT Results (12/27/22)

Backstage, Bron Breakker says he fell into Grayson Waller’s trap last week. He’s not here to play games. He’s going to the ring and calling Waller out. McKenzie tells Breakker that Waller isn’t here tonight, but he sent a video message. Waller is back on in Australiaa. Waller puts himself over and mocks Breakker. He’ll be there next week, and they can sign the contract. Breakker picks up the TV and tosses it into the lockers in anger.

Scism vs. Odyssey Jones, Edris Enofé, and Malik Blade

Scism works over Blade. Jones gets the tag. Jones clears the ring. Jones lands a double sidewalk slams Fowler and Reed. Jones is sent out of the ring. Reed, Fowler, and Gacy land suicide dive after suicide dive, but Jones stays on his feet. Gacy eventually takes Jones down. Fowler, Reed, and Gacy land a double doomsday device on Enofé and Blade. Reed and Fowler double codebreaker on Enofé. Enofé stumbles to his feet as Gacy obliterates him with the Upside Down for the win.

Winners- Scism

Backstage, Trick Williams says Axiom can do many things, but he can’t whoop that Trick. Williams is going to take Axiom out next week. Carmelo Hayes says the only man standing in his way to the NXT Championship is Apollo Crews. 2023 is going to be the year Hayes wins the NXT Championship.

Battle for the Bar: Fallon Henley w/Briggs and Jensen vs. Kian James

James lands a few strikes. Henley fires up but gets slammed face-first on the mat. James drives her shoulder into Henley’s gut over and over again. James beats down Henley. v fires up again and gets a series of near falls. Gutbuster by James. Henley kicks out. James hits the ropes. Henley tripes James.  Henley hits a shining wizard for the win.

Winner- Fallon Henley

After the match, Jensen is conflicted and seems upset James lost. He half-heartedly claps for Henley.

Backstage, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez says she will do everything she can to represent the championship properly.

Drew Gulak Invitational

Gulak is with Hank Walker. Gulak is going to show everyone a few moves. Gulak makes Luka tap with a chicken wing. Gulak notes to let the hold go as soon as you feel the tap. Next up is an amateur wrestler named Tavion. Gulak and Tavion roll around on the mat. Gulak gets a figure four. Tavion taps. Last up is Myles, who suplexes Gulak. Gulak gets the Gu-Lock. Myles taps, but Gulak doesn’t let go until Walker begs him to. Charlie Dempsey storms the ring and demands Gulak wrestle him. Walker gets Gulak to back off. Dempsey wants one of Gulak’s students in the ring next week. Gulak says Walker will be ready.

North American Championship Match: Wes Lee (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo w/Stacks

D’Angelo tosses Lee into the corner. D’Angelo mocks Lee.Lee lands a few strikes. D’Angelo responds with a high-angle belly-to-belly. German suplex by D’Angelo. D’Angelo tries another suplex, but Lee lands on his feet. Lee lands a flurry of strikes. D’Angelo rolls out of the ring. D’Angelo drives his shoulder into Lee’s gut. Lee kicks D’Angelo in his previously injured knee. Lee works the knee. D’Angelo rolls out of the ring. Lee lands a suicide clothesline. After the break, D’Angelo is working over Lee. D’Angelo goes up top. Dijak appears and chokes Stacks. In confusion, Lee knocks D’Angelo off the top. Lee lands his backflip kick for the win.
