Travis Kelce Channels The Rock, Calls Cincinnati’s Mayor A Jabroni During Post-Game Speech

Travis Kelce borrowed from one of the most popular WWE superstars of all time to send a message.

On January 29, Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs beat the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game 23-20 to punch their ticket to Super Bowl LVII, where they will face the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ahead of the game on Sunday, Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval stated that officials were asking Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow to take a paternity test to confirm that he is Chief’s signal-caller Patrick Mahomes’ father. Pureval seemingly took a shot at the former MVP, though he later apologized.

In the end, the Chiefs emerged victorious on Sunday night, and Travis Kelce, one of the Chiefs’ key players, was fired up after the game. He brought up Pureval’s comment and took a page from The Rock‘s playbook by telling him to know his role and shut his mouth.

“Hey, I got some wise words for that Cincinnati mayor,” Kelce said. “Know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni.”

The Rock told many “jabronis” to shut their mouth throughout his legendary career, but Triple H recently stated that he doesn’t think that “The Great One” returning for WWE WrestleMania 39 is in the cards. Check out his comments here.
