Jeff Jarrett praises Satnam Singh.
Singh signed with AEW in September 2021 and debuted on the April 13 episode of AEW Dynamite in 2022, where he attacked Samoa Joe and aligned with Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt. The former NBA draft pick has been paired with the duo ever since, and Jarrett joined forces with the duo upon his debut on the November 2 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Speaking with “Doc” Chris Mueller of Bleacher Report, Jarrett referred to Singh as a megastar in the making before he highlighted the giant’s athletic ability.
“At one or two of the shows, as part of the facilities, there have been auxiliary gyms or whatever,” Jarrett said. “But I’ve gone in there with Satnam, and his athletic ability, you have to truly see it to believe it. As he grows as a professional wrestler — it’s gonna be a slow, steady progress — but when you see a guy who’s his size, his strength, and see the agility and see him dribble a basketball and see him shoot three-pointers, you know that you don’t see that every day. It is his athletic ability. It’s truly unbelievable.”
Jarrett went on to praise the AEW roster and the athleticism of the wrestlers. He stated that the roster is unmatched, and he shared his belief that fans sometime take what they can do for granted.
“I think collectively, it is by far the deepest roster,” Jarrett said. “By far the most diverse roster. And from a straight athletic performance, that flexibility is second to none. It’s truly amazing what the athletes of AEW do day in and day out. So much so that I think the fanbase that AEW has, from time to time, they take things for granted because there are outstanding matches, week after week, show after show that people almost take for granted. But what they’re seeing is unbelievable performance, from an athletic standpoint.”
The WWE Hall of Famer also noted that one can look at the AEW roster and see how the business is evolving.
Jarrett and Lethal will compete at AEW Revolution; they will be in the four-way match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. More information is available here.
