Mercedes Moné will go anywhere that has the biggest bag.
Speaking with Mojo Muhtadi on TMZ Sports, Mercedes Moné made it clear that she will face anyone. As for what’s next, Mercedes mentioned AZM has been calling her out as of late. The IWGP Women’s Champion also confirmed her appearance at Sakura Genesis in April.
“I mean, besides taking it on carpets and autograph signings, all over the world, I want to see what little promotions pop up too. I know next on my plate is April 8 in Tokyo, Japan for Sakura Genesis. I have a girl named AZM calling me out, so I’ve been putting the offer on the table for who’s next on the list. I want to see who is running from Mercedes Moné because I turn down to nobody. I’m always here for the check, I’m always here for the bag, and whoever has the biggest bag is where I’m going to go.”
Dave Meltzer reported in the February 27 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via F4WOnline.com) that Mercedes Moné’s next match would be a match with AZM at Sakura Genesis. Additionally, Meltzer said Mercedes was scheduled to face Mayu Iwatani at the STARDOM event on April 23, two of her remaining confirmed dates in Japan.
Mercedes Moné also commented on her experience at Battle In The Valley, the site of her first match in nearly nine months.
“It was a moment I’m always going to remember,” Moné said. “It’s probably my second favorite moment of my career thus far and that’s saying a lot because I’ve done so much in professional wrestling.”
