CM Punk Appears In Vignette On 6/14 AEW Dynamite

CM Punk is ready to return, and has unfinished business, according to the superstar in a brand new video.

For the first time since leaving All Elite Wrestling last year, CM Punk was confirmed to be returning to the company beginning on Saturday, June 17, 2023, the first episode of AEW’s Collision. In a new vignette that aired on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Punk appeared, and said he had unfinished business.

According to the superstar, he’s returning to the world of AEW for the same reasons he debuted there in the first place. Those include settling scores and having “things left to do.” Punk said he had no idea what he’d do once he got into the ring, but that he has “a lot of things” to get off his chest.

Like his debut in AEW two years ago, Punk’s return happening on Collision has been one of the worst-kept secrets for weeks. Conflicting reports suggested AEW and Punk had another falling out ahead of Collision’s announcement, but now the former AEW World Champion’s return has been confirmed.

Punk has not appeared and has rarely been referenced since All Out in September 2022. He suffered a torn triceps in the main event against Jon Moxley and then was reportedly involved in a backstage altercation with the likes of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.

WrestleZone will have complete coverage of AEW Collision on Saturday, June 17.
