Montez Ford Wants To Be WWE Champion But Knows He Can’t Do That In A Tag Team

Montez Ford understands that to become WWE Champion, some sacrifices must be made.

SmackDown Superstar Montez Ford recently spoke to Jordan Mendoza of USA TODAY Sports to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about the possibility of breaking out as a singles star in the future, Ford admitted his dream since he was a kid was to become WWE Champion, but you can’t do that as part of a tag team.

“As a kid, I’ve always had a dream to become WWE champion, and you can’t do that as a tag team wrestler. You can be a part of a tag team, but it’s just me out there,” Ford said. “That’s always been a dream of mine, and that’s one of the things I’m always looking forward to, training for.”

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins returned to WWE programming this week alongside Bobby Lashley as the three men got into a vehicle to presumably discuss a future stable together.
