Tiffany Stratton On Facing Becky Lynch: This Is As Big As It Can Get

NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton looks forward to her match against Becky Lynch.

On the September 12 episode of WWE NXT, Tiffany Stratton will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch. The match will mark Lynch’s in-ring return to NXT for the first time since 2019.

Speaking with Booker T and Brad Gilmore on the Hall of Fame podcast, Stratton was asked whether her bout against Lynch is the ultimate dream match.

“Yeah, I feel like this is as big as it can get,” Tiffany Stratton said. “I feel like any one of the four horsemen is a dream match of mine, and I’m super excited to see what happens Tuesday.”

Tiffany Stratton Recalls The Origin Of Her Moonsault

Tiffany Stratton was also asked to explain why she chose the moonsault as her finisher. She described how it stemmed from her background in gymnastics.

“I have a gymnast background,” Tiffany Stratton said. “Not only am I gymnast, but i was a trampoline gymnast. We actually had two routines that we performed every time we competed. One of them was your compulsory routine, and one of them was your optional routine. In the compulsory routine, it’s the easier skills, and you kind of do it we perfect as perfect. Every single one of my compulsory routines actually started with a moonsault.”

“We called it a three-quarter back, and it’s the backflip to your stomach. I used to have so much fun doing it. It was the coolest, most prettiest skills I could ever do. So I thought, why not somehow incorporate it into the ring? I also didn’t want to do a regular standing at the top and doing the backflip, doing the moonsault. So I thought about doing the jumping [on the ropes], just to try to get some height and emulate what I do on the trampoline into the ring.”
