Lex Luger Wonders If Cody Rhodes ‘Missed His Moment’ At WrestleMania 39

It is no big secret that Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in order to finish his story. That story is about him winning the top prize in WWE, the WWE Championship.

The American Nightmare managed to win this year’s 30-men Royal Rumble and, as a result, challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Title at WrestleMania 39. Unfortunately, Rhodes was unable to get the job done.

In a recent interview with Ad Free Shows, WWE/WCW veteran Lex Luger shared his thoughts on The American Nightmare failing to capture the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at the grand stage. Luger has plenty of love for Cody, but questions if he missed his crowning moment by losing at WrestleMania 39.

“I’ve got to say for seizing the moment, Cody [Rhodes] had a lot of momentum. So definitely… sometimes you have to seize the moment… Now we see other stars rising up and the talk of The Rock coming in and not that Cody… I think he’s one of the best workers, one of the best interviewers, his costuming is immaculate.

“Maybe his missed his moment”

“I love Cody Rhodes. But… But… I am a little concerned for him. I know he is very confident and I don’t know about the storyline but that may … maybe he missed his moment there… So… we shall see. To be continued,” Lex Luger said.

Currently, Cody Rhodes is in a tag team with former Bloodline member Main Event Jey Uso. The two are in a feud with The Judgment Day. The two managed to defeat the dominant faction to capture the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at the Fastlane Premium Live Event. This was The American Nightmare’s first title since making a return to the Stamford-based promotion.

Lex Luger has a new show, Lex Expressed, on Ad Free Shows. The first episode is available now.
